Let's All Take A Moment to Remember That Time Pewd's Landlord Kicked Him Out

Good ol’ Pewds has gotten himself into some precarious situations over the years. I was going through some of his older videos and stumbled across a classic that I think is worth revisiting because there’s several lessons contained within. Squadfam, soak in the wisdom!

Lesson 1 - Landlords Can Be Dicks

In what I’m sure is news to nobody, landlords can be difficult to deal with sometimes. In June of 2017, Pewdiepie posted this video with footage of his landlord knocking on his door to ask him to keep the noise down. Pewdiepie’s friend answered the door and had a short conversation with the landlord. The next day, he received an eviction notice!

Lesson 2 - Homophobia Is Still A Thing, Unfortunately

On top of being evicted over a noise complaint, Pewdiepie was subject to some unfortunate vindictiveness and discrimination from the landlord. During the filmed conversation at the door, the landlord proceeded to call both Pewdiepie and his friend “f*****’s” (homophobic slur) and “p****’s”. The aggression seemed like it came out of nowhere, and was completely inappropriate.

Lesson 3 - Be Careful Who You Slur At

The irony of the situation was that the landlord had no idea that the tenant he’d just evicted unfairly and insulted with homophobic slurs was the largest star on the internet! It just goes to show, be careful who you’re mean to - you might just end up on YouTube.
